    5 in a Roomette

This is the stupidest idea I've heard in a long time. Not only won't it work, but you obviously have no respect or consideration for other passengers, both in coach and in the sleeping car, who would be forced to put up with your shenanigans. I hope there are no Amtrak...

Use of electric cigarettes in sleeper

Vaporizers exist, both in stationary and portable, rechargeable models. How would I know this? ;) Edit: I guess wayman beat me to this! Hmm. . .

Milwaukee downtown and Milwaukee airport are like 8 miles apart.

    Extended CBS loophole routing (Maybe)

Remember, you also need to go Columbus --> Chicago for another 5.5K points or $19.

    Extended CBS loophole routing (Maybe)

Congratulations on your discovery! This is I think the longest 1 zone loophole to date.

    Roomette outlet question

I am now seriously considering bringing a Ronco Showtime Rotisserie with me to cook baby back ribs and enough hot dogs for the entire car. Plus I can "set it and forget it" while I mosey on over to the lounge for a tall cool one.

    AGR Master Card Question

Me too. Everything from a $5 McDonald's purchase, gas, New York Times subscription, local grocery store, online purchases, hotels, dining out. Basically anyone who takes Mastercard gives me points each month! :) Like the_traveler, I average 1000-2000 points each month. I wonder if my...

    Urgent help needed

Spot on. I would however emend it thusly: You could be driving and the highway could be blocked by snow, and you'd wish you'd taken the train. You could be flying and the flight was cancelled, and you'd wish you'd taken the train. [no change] You could be on the train and the train is...

    Street Running

The Cresent and Hoosier State used to run down one of the main streets (I think it was 5th Street) in Lafayette, IN up to the early-to-mid 1990s. I think they rerouted the train off that street and closer to the Wabash river a few years ago.
