I just got a recorded message from Amtrak that my departure today has been delayed due to a "service disruption". No specific length of time was given. Yesterdays' SWC was about 3 and 1/2 hours late, due no doubt to the blizzard that hit here and Colorado over the weekend. The interstates...

Around 1972 I crossed over from New York into Canada on a bus full of hippies (I being one at the time). Canadian customs took one elderly couple off the bus for further inspection, leaving the rest of us alone.....much to our relief. :giggle:

According to the time table for the Southwest Chief, if operating on time, the train is at the Albuquerque station for 50 minutes....from 3:55 PM to 4:45 PM.
