Southwest Chief delayed 12/20/2011

I just got a recorded message from Amtrak that my departure today has been delayed due to a "service disruption". No specific length of time was given.

Yesterdays' SWC was about 3 and 1/2 hours late, due no doubt to the blizzard that hit here and Colorado over the weekend.

The interstates here were closed and semis parked along the way, but are beginning to reopen.

Since I've already scheduled my shuttle ride (via ABQ Ride, for elderly and disabled) I'll go ahead and wait at the train station.

I'll miss my connection in L.A. to San Diego. Guess I just hop aboard the first available Pacific Surfliner ?

That's the eastbound. Bob is going westbound.

The last recorded check-in for westbound was Dodge City: 3 hours 4 minutes late

After that, nothing. Something's up with the Dodge City area, for sure. News reports have been talking about huge drifts and blowing snow.
