Miffed at Amtrak/Metrolink due to the morning schedules. A window situation where the choice of getting from Fullerton to LA either 2 hours before the scheduled meet time or 5 minutes after. I think I took the SWC for the one stop but dont quote me on that.
On that same day, I was heading back to LAUS from Bakersfield on an Ambus. We were driving through heavy smoke on I-5 in the San Fernando valley. The smoke was from the east side. On the west side, the smoke was rising out of the ridge. Heard that the freeways I-210 and CA something (Simi Valley) were closed. On the plus side, there's no traffic!
At the station, Patrick was very upsetting about the closed route and was walking back and forth.
Saw the remains of warehouse in San Berdoo, where the fire burned down. It jumped into the median of I-215 and both directions were closed.

Sounds like I missed out on some fun on Monday! 
Leaving on Sunday, I only had almost missed the Ambus from LAX, having the Ambus break down on I-5, missing the connection in BFD, holding for 1 hour for a freight in Lodi, almost missing the connection to the CS in SAC (but because it was guaranteed, it was held for 30 minutes), having a 2 hour hold at KFS and arriving in PDX 3 hours late! Maybe I should have stayed and had some quiet!
