5,000 pts for cell phones

I got an email for upgrading cell phones/plans and getting 5,000 pts? Does anyone know what the effective date was on this promo? Hubby ordered a new phone in November through Verizon- is there a possibility he could get points for it?

Would he call Verizon or Amtrak Guest Rewards?

In order to get the points, you have to buy the phone through the link provided. This goes to Wirefly, a 3rd party cell phone retailer.
