AMTZ is a reporting mark for Amtrak. When is it used? I have never seen it used before.

According to Wikipedia:

"Marks that end in Z are assigned to trailer owners/operators for use on equipment that does not have flanged wheels but that will be used on North American railroads in intermodal service."

There is a free software program available that shows all the marks for a given company, and the company for every mark:
