A suggestion:

There have been some posts in this forum about the changes in AGR and credit card program that mention the former owner of this site, now an employee of Amtrak Guest Rewards, by name. In some cases, Anthony is being held at fault for this issue or that shortcoming, or is being asked to pressure upper management to make changes. I think that is very unfair.

I have no idea the extent to which Anthony was a decision maker in the AGR changes now in progress. I am quite certain that his involvement was part of an overall organizational effort, with the final outcome being a consensus between internal Amtrak parties, each bringing different goals to the table. Once the decisions were made and approved by the highest levels at Amtrak management, they then became the organization's policy, with every member of that organization responsible for implementation. Anthony is the social media face of AGR, so that presents the appearance of being in control of the process. He most certainly is not.

Anthony is the founder of Amtrak Unlimited and was, and still is, a good friend of this site. Any arguments we have are not with Anthony. The arguments are with AGR and Amtrak. I have no idea the extent to which Anthony even has the ability to make changes. My guess is very little. Regardless, rant and yell all you want. That is fine. But, lets aim those rants at Amtrak and AGR, and not a friend just because we happen to know his name.

Thanks
