Just got an email about using the AGR Digital Member Card to access Lounges. Here is an excerpt of the relevant portions of the email:

To access your digital member card on the Amtrak App:

1.
Log into your Amtrak account.
2.
Tap “Member Card” on the home screen and present your digital member card for entry into the lounge.
Be sure to update to the latest version of the Amtrak app to enjoy this feature.

To access your digital member card on the Amtrak website:

1.
Visit Amtrak.com and "Sign In | Join" to access your account.
2.
Select your name on the top of the screen to view your “My Account” options.
3.
Select "Lounge Access" and present your digital member card for entry into the lounge.
Learn more about lounge access.

I'm not seeing this on my phone, and I've confirmed that there are no pending updates to the app.

Is this only for people who are at an AGR level that includes lounge access?
I received the notification in an email. I suppose if you did not get the email maybe they are sending it to only Select Plus and above.

I received the email. I am Select Executive, however, I have not tried to access the digital card yet.

I was able to get it both in the iOS App and on the web site.

Now if they would only enable it for loading into the Wallet it would be perfect!

I got the email (I’m Select Plus) and my app updated this morning. I was able to access my card.

It's pretty fluid. Also, under Account->Lounge Access, it says I don't have any lounge passes available, so maybe they're finally getting rid of the last paper coupon.

I got the email, too, but there's nothing on the app. I'm not sure what its value is, as I have the plastic AGR Select Plus member card with me all the time, anyway. Anyway, my phone as a habit of running down its batteries faster than I care for, so I never like to rely 100% on stuff that's only in my phone.
I made Select last year and they sent me the packet with the two lounge coupons and fancy marketing, but no card. I made Select Plus around Christmas last year. I kept bugging them but never got any mail. I'm thinking that's around the time they started discontinuing the physical cards 😭 oh well. Would've liked it as I probably won't make Select Plus again; just had a sleeper trip on my account paid for by someone else combined with double TQPs in 2021.

Interesting because I made Select Plus in May of this year. Amtrak mailed me a physical lounge card.

I’m going to hold on to my latest physical card. That way, if they don’t send one again, I’ll just bring out the old one with the account number and ask the lounge attendant to look it up and verify I’m still Select and can use the lounge.

I’m doing that with museum and other membership cards as well.

Interestingly, at the airline lounges I use I have never had to show a lounge card. The information is available on the electronic boarding card that is scanned and they know whether I have the credentials for entering the lounge as soon as they scan the electronic boarding pass document.

Amtrak should be able to do something like that.
