Amsnag Issues?

Amsnag won't work for me on Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome. This has been going on since 11 last night. It started to load about 10 minutes ago on Chrome but crashed.

Amsnag still works for me but it sometimes times out when doing a search on 15-20 fare dates or more. If it is giving you trouble try doing a search on fewer fare dates.

On Foxfire and chrome, when I click the search button, the page flashes and comes right back to the main page.

That's what it did for me. But at the suggestion of dlagrua I tried searching for 10 days worth of pricing and it worked.

Only the owner of the Amsnag site can definitively tell us what is happening but it sounds as though Amtrak may be blocking fast repetitive searches on the same trains from the same IP address. I don't know why Amtrak would mess with a resource like Amtrak as it offers their customers choices ands helps them book business.

Interesting. Amsnag isn't working for me either this morning. Even just checking 8 or 9 days.

I have been on this site several times yesterday and three times this morning without any issues. Been solely accessing the Fare Watch section of the site. I have used both Firefox and Chrome as browsers. The link I am using is http://amsnag.net

When that happened to me in a number of instances, I closed the window (but not the browser), re-opened it and went back to the site. Data was already filled in and it worked fine each time. Using firefox.
