Amtrak Alerts train #1 from Orlando

Apologies if this has already been posted somewhere. However, on Amtrak Alert's is saying the #1 that left Orlando.. When did this happen and why?

That's a typo, of course the Star and Meteor run through Orlando!

I think this points up the quality of the staff / training, in that they can just look up out of date train info and post alerts...
Why not employ staff who actually know that the Sunset Limited starts from New Orleans?

Yes however when I usually look at Amtrak Alerts it states it departs out of New Orleans.

Are the social media folks actual staff or general purpose contractors? It could be simple ignorance or some sort of computer snafu that resembles errors I've seen with other carriers. Was anyone impacted by this enough to suffer any definable harm? Seems unlikely but maybe there is some old curmudgeon camping out in Orlando waiting for a train that never comes and now thinks he suddenly missed it.

Errors of this sort appear all the time on annunciator boards at stations on the NEC. People just get a chuckle out of it if they happen to notice.

I mean, on Amtrak Alert's it said it originated in Orlando. When it hasn't served Orlando in over 15 years

Then why not Miami? When it was first extended, it ran all the way to/from there...

It was cut back from Miami before service was cut to Florida altogether.

Yes... but if they extend the Empire Builder through to Miami via IND and ATL... that would be quite a run! Just get on in SEA and set up housekeeping for a few days!

[But if I would have to eat flex meals for that 5 night 6 day run I refuse to do it!]
