Amtrak cancellations and delays 2025

Well, at least the single-digit cold temperatures haven't messed up the NEC. I saw a Northeast Regional, or at least a string of Amfleets, pulling out of Baltimore yesterday as I was driving by on I-83.

• Train 300 is canceled. Alternate bus transportation will be provided.

Borealis Service (operating between Chicago & St. Paul-Minneapolis, MN)

• Train 1340 is canceled.

Hiawatha Service (operating between Milwaukee, WI & Chicago, IL)

• Trains 332 & 330 are canceled.

Wolverine Service (operating between Chicago, IL & Pontiac, MI)

• Trains 351 & 353 are canceled.

Illinois Zephyr (operating between Chicago, IL & Quincy, IL)

• Train 380 is canceled. Alternate bus transportation will be provided.

Is that due to not enough signaling persons available to unfreeze those switches? In the past is has been posted that Amtrak tries to run most trains straight thru most switches and take the delays. There are definitely more 10 minute and 30+ minute delays today. Yellow for 10 - 29, red for 30 - 59 & black 60 - more. This only applies to NEC trains and not LD.

Regional trains are slightly longer colors green 0 - 19, Yellow 20 - ?, red ?
