Amtrak Reservation (on app)

I went to the Amtrak app looking to plan a trip for next year sometime I see on the date I want they give you there options the one I want is with a room but only in the last leg of trip is that possible on app or do I have to call agent

That is possible in the app; just select either the coach or sleeper fare for the entire trip and then it will give you the option to modify individual segments.

I tried that took coach but just want room on last leg it wouldn't take it

What train? Some combos don't have the same same selection on all legs. I occasionally use a NER/CL for NYP-CHI or vice versa, roomette on CL, but only coach or BC on the NER. Does it show the selection, but 0 available, or not show the selection at all?
