Amtrak train 98 1/11/17

Anyone have any idea why train 98 is late? It was good through Florida and arrived at Savannah 17 minutes late. It left there 2 hours and 21 minutes late.

I am on 98. We had 3 engines and we were scheduled to drop one in SAV. Apparently, one or both of our other engines had problems and we had to wait for mechanical to fix the problem(s). We were without power for over 2 hours, which severely interfered with the 8:15 dinner seating. (I ate at 6:30, so I was not affected).

We seem to be doing ok now.

We lost a little more time overnight and we are approaching Petersburg now. I am getting ready for breakfast. Is that the kind of update you want?

I have not heard what specific type of engine problem we experienced.
