Well, Amtrak's plan, under George Warrington, was to eventually rebrand the Empire Service as "Acela Regional" as well. Basically, all NEC trains would be Acela-something. Thankfully, that plan was stopped before it spread beyond the Acela Express and the Northeast Direct renaming to Acela Regional (now, simply the bland, boring "Regional" name).

So, that's probably why the Turbos were getting the Acela paint.

Does the lake shore limited always stop at the same stations exp.Rochester

We did. As does every other Lake Shore Limited Amtrak runs. I'll be on the train in less than two weeks (unless it gets out of Chicago REALLY late, in which case I may switch to 40 instead), and it'll stop in Rochester then, too.
