And, from my local paper yesterday: "New Jersey motorists will not pay more for a driver's license or motor vehicle registration this year." I guess my fellow NJ travelers love congested highways.

And bridges too! LOL
Although the bridge in question in Bridgegate is not an NJ bridge. It is a Port Authority bridge and is funded by its toll.

Oddly enough, the Turnpike Authority, which manages the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway and the Atlantic City Expressway seems to not have any funding issues at all. Both the GSP and the Turnpike have been adding lanes to relieve congestion points over the last decade or more. It is the non-toll roads that are not funded by the 90/10 federal formula that are screwed.that are screwed together with NJ Transit. NJ Transit already has some of the highest fares and some of the highest farebox recovery in the nation.

What has gone on under the current Governor has less to do with what is good for NJ in the long run and more to do with what his deluded self believes is good for increasing the chances of his own Presidenthood. ;) He may be many things, but "idiot" he isn't.
