Can companion coupon be combined with Amtrak travel voucher?

Got a $300 travel voucher for a heavily delayed train trip few months ago. Can I book a full fare ticket with those funds and use the companion coupon?

Specifically looking at taking the Cardinal from NYP to CHI . For trips in December it is pricing at $500 for a roomette for one person . Hoping to snag that price for two us ( second being my kid )..

Yes, they can be combined. The voucher is considered a payment method, not a coupon.
(Thus the ‘cannot be combined with another coupon’ rule does not apply here).
