If you mean the PCCs that used to run on Girard Ave (rte 15) they are currently being rebuilt again and won't be back in operation for a little while.Does Philly still run the historic trolleys (PCC or otherwise), or have they all been retired?

There was also a place in Reading Terminal Market (under the old station which is now a convention center) which was pretty good. Unfortunately I don't remember which vendor it was. The market is a cool place to walk around.Philadelphia is famous for Cheese steaks, and Jim's at 4th and South St. makes the very best. View attachment 29012 (forget the 2 "tourist" places). When ordering, you will be asked, "Whiz?". Say yes.
There is a restored old one you can enter and explore at the SEPTA headquarters just across the street and right from the Jefferson train station.Does Philly still run the historic trolleys (PCC or otherwise), or have they all been retired?

WOW! Guess the 2 Famous Tourist Joints Pat's and Genos will pick up business, although I'm sure Locals don't go there!Jim's burned down yesterday. Total loss. Vows to rebuild.

I've read that Dalessandros has the Best Cheesesteaks in Philly???
Bummer, I ate there last year and they were great!
There are a whole bunch of them being stored(?) at the car barn in southwest Philly that can be seen when riding Amtrak or SEPTA between Philly and Wilmington. If you mean the PCCs that used to run on Girard Ave (rte 15) they are currently being rebuilt again and won't be back in operation for a little while.
Jim's was not in business when I lived in Philly 50 years ago. There was a place on South Street in the 500 or 600 block where I used to get cheesesteaks for my boss (and myself, too), but that one isn't is business anymore.Philadelphia is famous for Cheese steaks, and Jim's at 4th and South St. makes the very best.
