Correct Point Calculation?

I am about to transfer some points from my Starwood account to AGR in order to book some tickets for a January trip to Orlando from Washington. I would like to check with you guys on the math on the points I need so I don't transfer too many.

My boyfriend and I are planning to travel from Washington to Orlando, round-trip, in January. We will take a roomette on either the Silver Star or the Silver Meteor. If I understand the redemption information correctly, we will need to redeem 30,000 points total. 15,000 for the trip down (roomette w/ two passengers) and 15,000 for the trip back. Is that correct? We don't need to redeem anything further for coach seats, and the roomette points are not per person?

Thanks in advance! I did search the boards and find some threads that came pretty close but I just want to triple-check.

You're correct!

A roomette award includes the roomette (for up to 2), all meals in the diner (for up to 2) and the rail fare portion (for up to 2)!

BTW: You can also use the Club Acela at Washington Union Station!

Thanks for the response! I feel better about transferring the points.

We took the Crescent last year to New Orleans, but we picked it up at the Alexandria station. My parents live nearby and let me park for free at their house while we're gone, which is hard to pass up!
