Had just walked by the station to say hi to my favorite agent, Carol. A few minutes later I observed the BNSF train of office cars going east. One locomotive and about six silver cars, one of the marked " Snoqualmie Pass,"which I recalled was a Milwaukee Road location in Washington State.

The second agent was also called in tonight to help handle baggage. A large group of British tourists are boarding. Remember, nobody rides these trains.

In a TO post, it was called "Officers Special On BNSF"; went through Placentia, CA early this morning. Not much else written.

Does not the former Northern Pacific line, now part of BNSF also go over Snoqualmine Pass? Which could explaine the name.

You may be correct. I recall traveling with my parents by trailer many years ago in Montana and was amazed to see 2 major railroads side by side.
