Eurostar to roll out Siemens e320 (Velaro) by year end

Initially only on the London St. Pancras - Paris Gare du Nord route. While at it speed gets boosted to 200mph.

I wonder if Eurostar choosing Siemens by any chance convinces Amtrak to go with Siemens for the new Acela train-sets...

Eurostar made this choice over four years back. They already have the test trains in hand running trial runs. It is not like they just decided.
