Flew into Seattle today and wanted try it out at least once. They have these trains linking all the terminals, and once you're in the secure area you can go anywhere.

Not bad. It was pretty quiet. I needed coffee badly. I brought the family, and there was no issue presenting my AGR Select Plus card and an ID. My kid wasn't the only one there. Basically just snacks and beverages. They did have beer, wine, and liquor for extra.

I don't think I'd pay $50, but it was a nice perk for AGR Select Plus. The snacks weren't quite a meal, but fine.

While "premium" beer and wine is extra, the standard offerings are free.

I actually did the reverse earlier this year when AGR forgot to send me my Slect+ Package this year. I used my United Club Card to get into and make use of the Club Acela in new York and Washington DC.

United Club has actually improved a lot this year. You can now get some reasonable snacks other than cheese and crackers and pretzels.

Oh. So that's why I didn't see Miller Lite on the menu, even though there was a tap.

I ran into this in May as well. The agent up front told me with AGR Select+ you can bring SIX people in with you. I was not sure if this was just a fluke or what but it seems to be normal. How many people total were with you? BTW, even paid United Club isn't this generous.

Just myself, my wife, and our four year old. I thought it was supposed to be the member, a spouse, and all dependent children - or two other guests.

I don't believe that the $50 one-time United Club pass allows any guests.

So, are there any airports where either Delta or any of the Three Virgins are in the same terminal as a United Club (or, failing that, plausibly accessible from one)? When I'm forced to deal with flying, I tend to wind up on Virgin (if I can manage it) or Delta (since they have cross-earning with Virgin Atlantic and using DL is actually a cost-effective way to chase status on VS...cue strange situations involving top tier status on an airline you've never actually flown...).

The rule for AGR to United Club is 1 guest (officially on the website). No exception written for family members. Only for paid United Club members. Now it looks like your an my case, the "official rule" isn't really the "rule."

It depends on if the terminals are interconnected post security. At ORD, United re booked us with AA, but we were able to use United Club and then walk to AA terminal. So it really depends on the airport layout. LAX forget it.

I couldn't find anything official. All I see on the United Club terms is that reciprocal membership terms can be cut at any time. The Amtrak lounges section on United Club members says that it's the UC member and one guest or the rest of someone's immediate family (including kids under 21).

SeaTac has complete access to any "sterile" area via their underground train system. However, a couple of the gates are at these "satellite" islands. I wasn't quite sure what I was doing. I ended up following the display boards and took two trains. Since it's underground, I couldn't see where the heck I was going. The United Club in SeaTac was in Concourse A, but our flight I believe arrived at the North Satellite.

Actually, LAX is doable, although it wasn't in the past.

Delta now uses gates in both Terminal 5 and Terminal 6 at LAX, and there is an underground connector within the secure area between the two. There is a United Club in Terminal 6.

If you're in need of more exercise, Terminal 6 and 7 (and 8) are connected aboveground, and there's another United Club in Terminal 7.

(In the past, the underground connector has been closed off.)

Easy airports would be ORD. There's a UC in the E/F gates area. Delta uses some of the E gates there. DFW, IAH, MSP, and AUS, all have UC's near Delta gates. LGA has a club outside of security, but no where near the DL gates. Quite a few more airports, such as DEN, and IAD will have UC's inside the secure area, but requires a train or people mover ride. If you have time you can certainly venture out to the UC without leaving security.

I found it. It actually says one adult guest and doesn't specify the number of children under 21. I guess someone with a large family (or grandchildren) could conceivably pack the place. It seems kind of outdated since Amtrak no longer refers to club access as "ClubAcela". Also, the terms only state Select Plus and not Select Executive.

At LAX Terminal 4 (American) is also connected to 5, which is connected to 6, 7, and 8. So any passenger flying one of the mainline US carriers could use their Select + card to enter United.
