Class one railroads used to have their own systemwide security but they seem to be getting more lax with numerous videos on YouTube showing how easy it is to not only access loaded freight cars but also infrastructure and locomotives. They’ll run you off for taking photos while letting millions in product go missing without a trace. Turns out that limiting most security to intermodal transfer yards does not a secure system make.
