My name is bergw. I am a recent fan of long distance passenger rail. I have traveled quite a bit in my life and flown far too much for any one man should be allowed to. I'm finding this rail thing to be quite enjoyable and dare i say a nice nod to tradition. Seems to be one of the few times in life you can really just settle in for the ride and be out of range of the rest of the modern world for a spell.
I joined up (mostly so i can see attachments on peoples posts), but also to connect with others who also dig the Amtrak vibe.
