Corrado's Bustang from Denver to Crested Butte is running over capacity causing passengers to be left behind. This kind of service is just what is needed to tie into the Amtrak network.

The Denver to Crested Butte route (originally just to Gunnison) is the only Bustang route that is an Amtrak Thruway line. It connects in Denver Union Station's bus concourse from Train 5 to Bus 8605 and to Train 6 from Bus 8606.

The Thruway hook-up is an exception because it was started before the Bustang marketing scheme and the CDOT staffer was Jon Valerio, a ColoRail member. Jon planned to have all the routes in the Amtrak and Greyhound ticketing system, but he died of cancer. His successors were hired from bus operations, and they haven't shown an interest in coordinating. Fortunately, we were able to work out Union Station for them, and so if someone knows how to get info on their other routes, the transfers are easy.
