Constant tension has the center of the span between weights anchored so each fix point to weight is half distance? AFAIK there has only been one failure of constant tension CAT. That was last year in Portland, Or when temps went over 100 and the weights reached the ground or whatever stop. Then the CAT sagged. Anyone know if Portland has done anything to fix?
Have often wondered if PDX used longer single spans than standard. Or they may have used a too low balancing temp as it has never been lower temps than 20 F.
