Just to introduce my self.

Been riding Amtrak for over 20 years, mostly the Crescent and other Eastern routes. Rode the Empire Builder to Essex MT and stayed and the Issac Walton Inn, that was a trip of a lifetime.

Welcome to AU from another member who also has only two trains a day (#21/#22) to start an Amtrak trip!

I've ridden the Crescent many times including back in the Southern days, and agree that Glacier Park and riding the Empire Builder is a great vacation!

Welcome! I hope you'll find this a good pace to exchange information. I am sure you have some valuable experiences to offer, and we're a generous bunch with advice if you need it.

I've got three trains I can take: 7/8, 5/6, and 11/14. But they are ALL 5 hours away! The closest thing fpor me is the AmBus, from Bend to the middle-of-nowhere station at Chemult. That's only 3 hours from home, LOL. You will find that some of the people in this group will go to great lengths to take a train.

Hi 19/20 and glad to have you with us. I'm from Tallahassee and in 10 days will be taking my 1st trip on the Empire Builder, can't wait!
