Hi! I've been a casual Amtrak rider for decades. I rode the NEC a lot in the 80's, but much less since then. In recent years I have ridden LD from DC to Miami and Chicago, always getting and enjoying a roomette or bedroom in the sleeping cars. I am hoping the recently approved infrastructure investments will improve the experience. Last year I could not resist the offer so got the 50K point BoA card, and am just waiting for the opportunity to use it on another LD trip. It seems that it is taking Amtrak a while to get back up to its regular service level since the Covid travel disruptions have started to wane.

Hi, I've been an occasional Amtrak rider in recent years. In 2019 I got the BoA card in order to take advantage of the bonus and also because I wanted something other than actual airline miles which I have more than enough of. I got the fee card which includes the 2x points for travels expenses, so that has really bumped up the points - any hotels, trips, etc. I just got Select Status and want to take best advantage of it. I would like to do some LD travel so when I stumbled across this site I joined.
