How to book this reward

Assume that the outbound is SPK-LVS. I know the routing and have done it before.

Instead of back-tracking, assume that I want to go LVS-LAX Thruway and then stay two nights, before LAX-SPK.

Do I need to buy LVS-LAX and connect to the reward? Is this the Greyhound route discussed before?

You can't book an AGR award with a stopover (2 days in LA). You will have to use 2 awards. But I think LVS-LAX is part of the 1,000 special routes. (You may have to book like LVS-SAN & throw out the other ticket.) Then you can get a 2nd award.

LVS-LAX is Greyhound, not an Amtrak California Bus.
