Indian Railway unveils new improved passenger coaches

Nothing earth-shattering different from existing rolling stock, but one step at a time is still improvement. Indian Railways has unveiled new improved design of air-conditioned sleeper car (3 tier sectionals) with many improvements such as0-

-> better ladder to climb to the top berths

-> CCTVs for security

-> doors that can be pushed open outwards too (all existing doors swing inwards) in case of emergency

-> bio-toilets (there goes every western traveler's pet peeve "OMG India is so dirty you dump straight on to the tracks!)

Nice to see improvements being made... I wonder if the two way doors will make it harder to "railfan" from an open door?

I think the topic of toilets on trains over excites many folk... Amtrak or Indian Railways!

I like that these are of indigenous manufacture, rather than being purchased abroad... and every passenger gets to lie flat at night for a proper rest!
