Train Attendant
Wanted to quick check & report that we are back from our SWC vacation to Albuquerque. Highs and lows to follow by the weekend. All & all I give Amtrak a blue ribbon even with the return trip yesterday. Not sure if it was posted that there was a single pedestrian death by train in California which put our return Chief 6 1/2 hours late into ABQ. We arrived back in Chicago last night at 9:50PM about 7 hours after the scheduled time. We were driven back to GRR in a 12 passenger van. One person was delivered to Holland then my husband and I were driven to GRR, arriving at 2:45AM Michigan time. I dont want to give to much away from the trip report but I just got off the phone with Amtrak as instructed from guest services in Chicago late last night and we are very happy. Now if I could only get some sleep.
