Leased Units working the yard in Chicago

I've been passing through CUS several times a week lately and I noticed the other day that there were two if not three leased GATX units, (GP38s,40s something like that), doing the switching around the yard. Is Amtrak short of switching power? They had a few small units out there, (SW1500s or something similar), then they were using the P32-8BWHs and now the leased power. I just thought it was a curious sight.

This has been the case for quite a while.. Maybe a year.. Amtrak has leased I believe two GP38's from NS for NEC work trains. They are in PHL now.

Oh boy here we go again~ the 500 series Dash 8's out on the road ain't the best thing in 100 degree summers...
