Is there anyway to predict which trains will leave from which tracks. I'm going to be on the Babylon Branch soon. And I'm trying to figure out what normal tracks those leave from. That way when I step off Amtrak 98 I can go up the exit concourse and down to the next babylon train.

Not generally. Best bet is to hang by the big board at the entrance to the central concourse by the K-Mart or in the West End area by the 8th Avenue subway and run to the track when the train posts. The LIRR uses tracks 13-21 so could be on any of those.

Although it is relatively unusual for a departing train to be on track 21, or even 20 though less so.
