Hi, I’m taking the Carolinian for the first time, only for a short ride but chose an assigned seat in business class. I was wondering if anyone knew where the business class car, seemingly its only one, is located on the train? Is it the first car or the last car at the back? Just so I know where to stand on the platform and hopefully don’t have to walk all the way through the cars. Thank you!

I’ve ridden btwn Durham and New York both directions. North bound it is at the back of the train just before the baggage car. Honestly I have no specific memory of boarding in NYC or WDC to come back!

The last time I was on the Carolinian it was the last car, just after the cafe car. There wasn't a baggage car.
There was a period of time, maybe during COVID, when they removed the baggage car from 79/80. I think they had also removed it from 89/90 at the same time. Both got the baggage cars back in the last year or two.
