SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A man was struck by an Amtrak train in San Jose Friday morning, causing delays to other train lines in the area for about an hour, a Caltrain spokeswoman said.
A northbound Amtrak Capitol Corridor train struck the man who was trespassing on Caltrain tracks near Virginia Street at about 7:45 a.m., spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
No passengers were aboard the train, which Dunn said was being moved to the San Jose Diridon station.
The man was taken to a hospital where his condition was unknown.
