So, I'm on the Star tonight heading into Miami (tentatively; I might hop off a few stops early depending on a few things). I was wondering...is there a dinner service for sleeper pax on either train (like the Star has going into New York)?

As Bill said, no chow on either train Cliff! The Cafe is probably out of most items anyway! Southern Florida has plenty of great joints to eat,it's similar to riding the Crescent or CONO into NOL where you want to eat something good when you get off the train!

Didn't someone do a nice chart of all the meal services on each train a few months back?

I remember asking for that to be pinned as a FAQ, but it apparently wasn't. It should be.

As of today (7/1/15) it won't matter on the Star, as the Diner is now removed through January of '16.

We arrived Winter Haven, FL yesterday on the Silver Star. Had lunch when we departed

Tampa. The LSA told us that was the last dining car meal for the Star until January 31, 2016 -

or perhaps forever.
