I should add that I *want* Metra to take over ticket handling and train staffing. Metra wants to too.
UP just shouldn't be such a bunch of whiny criminals about it, and should negotiate in good faith over the price. If UP keeps engaging in lawless and corrupt tactics, Metra should figure out how to get the UP execs perp-walked and put in jail in handcuffs for a few days to get them to reconsider whether maybe negotating in good faith would make more sense.
