Since our hotel was in the same neighborhood as a friend of ours, we picked up our stuff from our friend, Jimmy. He had been holding two small bags of important stuff for awhile. The bags are super heavy but thank goodness they are on wheels because I don't remember them being so heavy.
After we picked up our stuff, we took them back to our hotel. We also rested up until it was time to go to the city.
We went to Tad's Steaks on 50th street, then walked to Rock Center. We went to Ben & Jerry's. While eating the ice cream, Louis charged his chair in the concourse, then we hung out in the lobby for a bit & chatted with the security guys until it was time to get in line for the regular ticket holder line for SNL dress rehearsal.
We got our tickets & then sat in the waiting area in the mezzanine which was amazing since they refurbished it. Security took us up to the 9th floor to wait to be seated in the studio. As we were waiting, Bobby Moynihan spotted us. He got super excited to see us. Gave us each a big hug & a kiss on my head.
We got seated in the studio by the sound booth which had amazing sound. It felt great being back in the studio again. Louis saw his 670th show!
After dress, we went down to the lobby to wait to see if we would get up for the LIVE show, which didn't happen. Louis was not happy & very heartbroken since he has always got to go to both shows, so we hung out with Chris & Max until it was time for the show to end.
Now this is where the reunion was to begin & I was very excited to see everyone again. I couldn't wait to meet the new cast members either. We saw everyone except for Cecily Strong, Michael Che, Taran Killam, Colin Jost or Pete Davidson. Lorne Michaels walked out in a hurry. Got a picture with Bobby Moynihan, Leslie Jones, Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney & Jon Rudnisky. It was great seeing the cast again. It was nice meeting you, Leslie, Beck, Kyle & Jon!
Louis ordered a wheelchair accessible cab & it was waiting for us when we went out of the building, so we said Goodbye to Chris.
Stay Tuned: A tram ride, a boring Museum & a Last Man On Earth
