I see there are delays between Philadelphia and New York presently on account of downed power lines and there is only one track in operation.
It was shut down completely between PHL & NYP between 5:xx (guess on my part) till about noon. Heard a tree fell on the wires north of Philly.I see there are delays between Philadelphia and New York presently on account of downed power lines and there is only one track in operation.
Amtrak service has resumed Sunday evening with delays between New York City and Philadelphia after it was suspended for much of the day. The delays are complicating the weekend travel rush for train travelers heading home on the last weekend before the holidays. NBC News' Priscilla Thompson reports from New York Penn Station.
There's a crew repairing the wire today at Frankford Junction, inner northbound track. Train is crawling by on the outer track.Anyone know exact location?
My son and young grandson were on No. 154 (22) from DC to Boston yesterday and on No. 699 from Boston to Portland, Maine. They received a notice from Amtrak that the departure of 154 would be delayed leaving DC. I believe the train departed an hour and 17 minutes late and arrived in Boston 3 hours and ten minutes late. 699 was on time.I see there are delays between Philadelphia and New York presently on account of downed power lines and there is only one track in operation.
80 left CLT at 0850. 4 hour turn for the equipment. Evidently then 80 had to have a daily at RVR as it took a 2:05 delay.Yesterdays delays caused 79 not to arrive in CLT until almost 5am this morning.
