I am planning a field trip for my Kdg class on May 12. Part of the trip is riding Amtrak from Winona MN to La Crosse. The ticket agent did not have any idea if the train will be late and/or how late because of the flooding situation in ND. Does anyone have an opinion on the train possibly being on time up to just an hour late. A much later arrival would interrupt other scheduled activities. Should I just skip the train portion of the trip this year?

Thanks for your opinion

Bette

Given the weather problems (which are still going on), it's impossible to predict. Unfortunately, I think the odds are not that great for a train to be less than an hour late in the near future. You might get lucky, but if time is that tight then you would be wise to look for an alternate.

Thank you! I guess I will skip the train trip. There are 16 days of school left so not a whole lot of time to "play with."
