Are there limited door openings at the New Haven, CT station?

From my experience the station in which not all doors open is New London, CT; not New Haven.

New London does have high-level platforms, but they're short so some cars aren't in the station when they open. You want to alight from doors closer to the Business Class car, as that's a single car that will open at the station.

I did the exact thing the first part of my post was warning/questioning...
