Hi guys,
Greetings from France !

Absolute train enjoyer, I have the chance to live in a country with an awesome rail infrastructure.

Experienced almost all french trains, some Italian and Spanish and Moroccan, and in April I was supposed to ride with Amtrak from New York to Mississippi but my train was cancelled

Looking especially for some old stuff from the Crescent in it's early years in the 80s.

Bonjour! Welcome to this forum. I hope you get to ride Amtrak on a future visit.

Two years ago I had a chance to ride a couple trains in/through France and it was amazing. It was my first time on a truly high-speed line! I will actually be in Paris for the Olympics + generally to see the city and look forward to taking the Eurostar to Paris, and then enjoying the local and regional public transportation that Paris has to offer. I can't wait! (And I will do my very best to not be an annoying tourist who gets in the way, as much as I can. I know the Games are an imposition on the local population.)

One of my favorite misuses of Paris is staying one night near the Gare du Nord, to break a high speed rail trip in coach between Toulouse or Bergerac and Berlin or Kassel. I think once I did it all in one day. Miraculous! Welcome !
