According to the bistro guy on Saturday's Cascades 509, the counter in the new bistro car has been set so high that wheel-chair passenger can't see over it. They also set the coffee pot so high that, if there's a spill, it'll be right into the face of the person working there, although that has nothing to do with ADA.

Recall that part of the reason for WI rejecting the new Talgos was problems of ADA compliance. At least one person here discounted that as nonsense invented by WI DOT to cover their ***** in the lawsuit Talgo brought against WI. Maybe, maybe not? In any event, WI's decisions (Scott Walker) bordered on insanity.

Just my 2c worth.

As a person with a disability , I am shocked that talgo In the first place made it too high.

I am aware the ADA is a USA thing not a EU or world thing but still Spain ( where Talgo is based ) is not a 3rd world country I would imagine there is a ADA analog there too .

This kind of over sight is really hard to excuse .

I hope there can be a quick fix for this for talgo's sake and for the riders sake .

Yall got a hack saw and a MIG weldor , Ill fix this here train !

The Spanish do like it hot... hopefully that's a minor fix if it becomes an issue.

Changing the height of the counter costs some money, but honestly not much. (It is not a reasonable excuse for rejecting the whole train, just for demanding that the counter be changed.)
