According to the bistro guy on Saturday's Cascades 509, the counter in the new bistro car has been set so high that wheel-chair passenger can't see over it. They also set the coffee pot so high that, if there's a spill, it'll be right into the face of the person working there, although that has nothing to do with ADA.
Recall that part of the reason for WI rejecting the new Talgos was problems of ADA compliance. At least one person here discounted that as nonsense invented by WI DOT to cover their ***** in the lawsuit Talgo brought against WI. Maybe, maybe not? In any event, WI's decisions (Scott Walker) bordered on insanity.
Just my 2c worth.
