Does anyone know if the Southbound Floridian consist turns around in Miami and heads back north the next day, or does it sit in Miami for 36+ hours. Or if the southbound is really late, is there a relief train that is available?

I don’t recall ever of a 36 hour break between runs. Matter of fact the two Slivers would continuously swap on which train was the Star, and the Meteor. This would require add and drop of a sleeper, but would give a longer maintenance period.

If the southbound is very late it is possible, but unlikely there enough equipment available to make up a train-set.

When I rode a month ago it was a VII.
Has anyone noticed trends in the Viewliner order? I have read that there are two sleepers at the back of the train. Is the second to last car typically VI or VII? Or do we know if the last car is consistently either a VI or VII?

I have seen conflicting information regarding the bedroom order in Viewliners. From the end of the car toward the middle, I have sometimes seen it as Handicapped, A, then B. On others, I've seen Handicapped, B, and then A most toward the middle. Which is it?

As built its Accessibility, Bedroom A, Bedroom B.

The crews are known to use post it notes to change location for reason of questionable reasons. Bedroom A is now Bedroom B. I had this happen before and didn’t make a big deal about it. Sometimes they ask if they need a change of rooms, otherwise they just disappear.

On the Florida trains, when there are 2 sleepers. the first one (xx10) is usually a VL 1, and the 2nd (xx11) is usually a VL 2. That may change due to equipment availability.

If and when they change to 3 sleepers later this year, it's unknown. They've had them in differing arrangements in the past.
