There were lots of problems on the Internet today, apparently caused by a DNS failure or misconfiguration at Akamai, which provides Internet infrastructure services to many businesses and ISPs. Typical symptoms were loading a page (for example by clicking on a link) in a web browser would time out after spinning its wheels for 30-60 seconds, repeatedly. Then, a few minutes later, hitting the reload button would work fine.
It could be your ticket email is stuck in a mail queue somewhere and will magically appear in a few hours.
If you have a smart phone, you can install the Amtrak App on it and it will automatically receive all your train tickets. It sometimes isn't completely intuitive, but if you select the ticket, it will pop up one of those QR (square 2-dimensional bar code things) which the conductor can scan. With this, you don't need a paper ticket.
