Ok so a follow up on my previous post..

if I have a unused ticket, and it is ticketed (printed), to change it i need to send it back to AGR..

Now if I dont have it printed, I can

(1) pick it up at the station the day of the trip, or

(2) if the trip gets changed (by me), and the ticket is not printed (ticketed) i can change by calling AGR and not having to send it back and wait 6 weeks...

this is what a AGR person told me today...

if my trip is on next week i dont want to get to the station the day of the trip and find out my ticket is gone..

1. Assuming you told the agent you will pick it up at the station, then it will be there for you. If you did not tell them that, they very well could be in the mail.

2. Correct. Not sure how long it will take for them to credit your points, but it will be faster.

If the ticket was not yet printed, then a call to AGR is all that needs to be done t change it. Once you do change it, the AGR points usually go right back into your account immediately, and can be used again.

I had to make a change from PDX-BHM to PDX-NOL. I cancelled the PDX-BHM award and rebooked PDX-NOL during the same phone call. My AGR account showed a redeposit of 20,000 points and then a redemption of 20,000 points. (BTW - My account did not have an extra 20,000 points.)
