Hello,
I will be going on vacation in a couple of weeks to the Wilmington, DE area (I have a round trip ticket from NFS-WIL). I tried to search for an answer before typing this, but was looking in the wrong place.
When I've traveled on Amtrak before all I did was print out my ticket and show it to the Conductor on board the train. I've seen people use their cell phones instead of printing a paper ETicket. I would like to try that instead of printing one out because my printer has been giving me problems lately.
I have an older phone, a Tmobile MyTouch 4G Slide running Android 2.3.6. I used to have the Amtrak app, but I failed to back it up and my phone is not compatible with the latest version of the Amtrak app. However, I do have a PDF viewer on my phone. Would I be able to download the Amtrak ETicket that is in PDF form on my phone's MicroSD card and use the PDF Viewer so that the Conductor could view/scan my ETicket? Does the phone have to be connected to the internet when the Conductor scans the ETicket?
Thank you in advance,
Tom Martin
