how can i replace my old worn rail travel privilege card? I called the pass bureau andfor some unknown reason am unable to get anybody to answer the phone and the mail boxes are full so i cannot leave a message?

Are you a freight retiree? Amtrak no longer issues cards for freight retirees -- only Amtrak retirees.

To make a reservation using your freight retiree pass, provide your full pass number to a reservations agent. They can look it up and verify eligibility. 1-800-USA-RAIL

no, block operator between detroit and chicago and also worked all towers between detroit and toledo. have an old nrpcpass and havent used it since around 1990's. hired on with penn central andstayed during the change to conrail and retiredin oct 2008.

OK... forget the word freight -- I should have said, did you retire directly from Amtrak as an Amtrak employee? If not, then you don't get a card anymore. Just provide your pass number verbally to the agent.
