I'm trying AGR-->Hot Deals-->Recommend a Friend.

I put in her email address 2 days ago. She got nothing yesterday. I put it two of her emails last night. Still, nothing. So I called AGR and they said those e-mails take 24 hours, and we should wait until tomorrow. My friend wants to book her first AGR trip, I want to get the bonus points. How long does it take for the squirrels to carry the email from AGR to her?

The Friend Recommendation has worked for me in the past.

That's the problem right there! Today is January 6 and 2 days ago was January 4, 2010. The promotion stated that referrals had to be requested by December 31, 2009!

If I remember correctly, the emails are sent out within 24 hours, as stated.

PS - she can still sign up and receive 500 bonus miles. However, you receive nothing.

I've done this twice in the past month for two friends in order to get the points for myself. Both times, I think the email was there within a minute. After ten minutes for each person, they were set up correctly with an AGR acct, an amtrak.com acct already linked with AGR & the business AGR linked. That same day was the best 1-day points day I have had, 1500pts (2ref@500, 2base@100, 2promo@100 & 2sel+@50), plus 200pts on the business acct (8trips@25).
