Please, I wasn't trying to suggest that you wouldn't tip, just pointing out that technically the Redcaps are supposed to provide service no matter what.

If a post of mine has a smiley face at the end then it's generally not meant to be taken too seriously. ^_^

We always tipped $5.00....they seemed happy with that....

 

I intend to take a small stack of $5 bills on my trip and share the joy.

December will be my first real vacation in 15 years and I've saved up for it.

I'm not going to be penny wise and pound foolish.

I tip the Red Cap $5.00 even if I carry my own bag. Most of the time it gets you through the gate first then I leave the Red Cap behind pushing his cart and hustle to the car. This generally gets me first on the car. This works for sleeper or coach.
